Listening

Well, the last few weeks have certainly been an adventure. My baby graduated from high school. 27 years of mothering and having kids under my roof, and it’s finally coming to an end. I’ve had all kinds of crazy emotions (as any mom does who’s facing an empty nest), so I’m just trying to take it one day at a time. It’s an interesting feeling to be 47 and feel like you’ve got the rest of your life in front of you and you’re not sure what it’s going to look like. All I can say is, I’m thankful I have the Lord’s guidance to help me make it through this transition.

I’ll also add some pictures just for fun. I hope you have a wonderful Sabbath and soak up all the light, love, and joy the Lord can possibly give you!

Love my girl. Syracuse High School, Class of 2018!

To add to the adventure, she had ACL and meniscus repair surgery a week after graduation. As an athlete, I know it’s going to drive her crazy to be sidelined for a couple months. But we’re thankful all went well. I know she’ll be pole vaulting again in no time!
