Oh, my poor little blog. You have been so neglected. I think of you often, yearning for more time to sit and write to my heart’s content. Such is life right now.
The funny thing is, along with everything else going on, we’ve added a new adventure to the mix: we put our house up for sale. What’s even funnier is that we’ve only been here for a year. (Is that funny? Ask me after I’m done moving AGAIN haha.) The Lord seems to be keeping us on our toes right now. But for some reason, I’m OK with it.
To be honest, we’re several months into our new lives as empty nesters and we’re feeling the need to simplify and downsize. So maybe that’s the reason I’m so at peace with moving again. The thought of simplifying is REALLY appealing right now. It just feels like a long, deep exhale after the insanely busy year we’ve just experienced. (If you’re curious, we’ll be staying in the same area. We love it here and it’s really begun to feel like home.)
So . . . hopefully things will settle down within the next few months and I’ll finally have more time to fill this blog with personal musings and questions and scriptures and quotes that are testing me and challenging me and making me think. But for now, it’s time to pull out the moving boxes. I’ve got a bit more work to do. 🙂
